The Community Recovery Service provides complex packages of support to people experiencing severe and enduring mental health needs.

We operate between the hours of 8am and 9pm, 7 days a week. We deliver a person centred service to clients in their own homes and in the community. We support clients to improve upon their physical health and emotional wellbeing, maximise their independence and improve and sustain their overall quality of life.

Our principle of care and support is based on choice, empowerment and inclusion, which allows individuals to develop and consolidate their life experience and position in the community.

Within this environment we aim to provide our clients with the means, power and authority to enable them to work with the staff towards becoming as self-managing as they are able.

Our objective is to meet the identified needs of the clients and, within the limitations of resources and abilities, provide the supportive environment that creates the conditions that promote fulfilment and an enhanced quality of life.

Application criteria
Referrals are open to adults who are recovering from, or living with, mental illness, who are able to carry out some personal care tasks independently, and have the means to pay for the service, through a Direct Payment, Self Directed Support or private means.

Nursing care is not currently provided, but we often work alongside services who provide this to ensure a full and holistic support package is in place.

Location
The Community Recovery Service is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and currently operates throughout West Sussex in the Crawley, Mid Sussex and Brighton & Hove areas, and East Sussex in the Eastbourne and Hailsham areas.

We are open to referrals from outside of these areas, and each application is individually assessed.
