A Friend in Need is a chargeable Befriending service for adults who would benefit from social interaction and a regular, reliable friendly face

Offering house visits for regular chats, peace of mind visits for relatives as well as the option of a phone call if preferred

This service could benefit you if you are:
• Lonely / Living on your own
• Housebound
• A carer or relative going on holiday / taking a break
• Would like somebody to talk to

Services Available:
• Visits at home or a nearby location
• Regular contact with the same person, offering a friendly face to chat and listen
• Activities including board games, reading, cards, knitting, sewing etc.
• Opportunity to chat by phone
• A visit or call service for relatives and carers who are responsible for others, offering peace of mind, break in routine and holiday cover
• Emergency crisis cover available 24 hours a day

• To carry out all points discussed and agreed at consultation
