Description

We provide specialist care for 19 residents from 40 years of age with both physical and mental health disabilities. The remaining 16 beds provide care for residents over 65 years of age. All rooms are fully-equipped and furnished to the same high standard. We also encourage residents to add their own personal touches.

Nursing care, comfort and friendship in a home from home atmosphere are an essential part of the very high nursing standards provided at Northwood. Registered Nurses and Care Assistants are selected, not only for their skills, but for the warmth of personality they bring to the home. Many Care Assistants are given in-house NVQ training and there are regular training updates for all staff. Care is a partnership between staff and the residents in which we encourage family and friends to become involved.

Established in 1987, Northwood has achieved the Investor in People award and provides 24 hour skilled nursing care, with a wide range of daily activities. You may prefer relaxing in our comfortable lounge, sun terrace and landscape gardens, or going out on a variety of excursions - the choice is yours. Residents' friends, family and members of the local community are always welcome.
