Description

We are Guide Dogs. And we’re here to help people with sight loss live the life they choose.Children and adults. Friends and family. Parents and professionals. Whoever you are, our expert staff, volunteers and life-changing dogs are here to help you. We are here to give advice and emotional support from the moment your child is diagnosed with a vision impairment.

Our team of experts has many years of experience working with children and their families, and can introduce you to a range of services based on your child’s needs, such as:

- Education support

- Custom Eyes books

- Technology advice service, including grants

- Early diagnosis family support

We support children and young people of all ages. From supporting physical development and learning in the early years, to navigating streets safely, preparing food, handling money, using technology and managing their appearance as they grow older.

This training program (also known as habilitation) will give your child invaluable practical skills for life. We also offer tailored courses for children with additional and complex needs: these include early motor skills, sensory development, body awareness and wheelchair mobility.
