Description
Cloverleaf Adult Social Care Advocacy Service also run a number of groups. There are two creative groups, which are tailored to the groups needs and are run for around 8 sessions.
‘Remember Me’
The Remember Me creative group is for people with Dementia. We use themed memory boxes, music, smells and objects from the past to help people reconnect with their former self.
‘Being me Group’
The Being Me group is to allow adults with learning disabilities to recognise the choices in their lives. They have fun encouraging communication through art, drama and music. The group supports people to say what is important to them, along with staff they promote inclusion, independence, choice and control.
We also run a peer support group for parents with learning disabilities who have been through, or who are going through, child protection processes. The parents named the group themselves the ‘Mum and Dad Group’. The group is free.
