MHC Nursing and Care Services provide Supported Housing and trained staff to help individuals living with mental health needs, physical health needs, sensory impairment, complex health needs, tenancy, develop independent living skills and access community services. Our supported living service offers a range of benefits for people with assessed needs by promoting overall well-being and enhancing quality of life. We work with specialist housing providers who will support you with managing your tenancy. Together, we will help you choose a property that best suits your needs. We offer different types of living environments, including independent flats and shared homes with communal spaces. Our team will support you to understand your options and help you to find the perfect home. The support we offer is flexible. We can help with personal care needs and managing finances, or support you to find education, work or leisure activities. You decide on the support you want and how often you need it. Our teams will work closely with you to co-create a personalised support plan focusing on your goals, interests, and skills. There are a variety of different types of supported living we can offer, and we’ll strive to find the best option for you.

People in supported living may choose to live on their own, with another person or in a shared house where everyone contributes to bills and upkeep. These shared homes are often existing properties that have been specifically converted to provide the right environment for those with particular needs. Each person will generally have their own tenancy agreement detailing their individual rights and responsibilities. The support provided is flexible and based on individual needs. It can range from a few hours each day to full time, 24-7, with a care worker staying overnight at the person’s home. We provide a combination of shared and 1:1 depending on assessed support needs of each individual. We have access to a variety of specialist support and services, including therapeutic, recreational and educational provisions within walking distances from our houses.
