Shield is a charity offering support to people infected or affected with HIV or Hepatitis C.

Our team are trained to support clients through varying transitions from the newly diagnosed to the long term affected, through peer support.

We are a needs based support group and can help with various health based and social issues depending on the clients individual needs whether it be assistance with housing, benefits, immigration, or financial issues where we can assist by providing food toiletry hampers whatever the clients needs are at that time. If we are unable to help a client with a specific issue we will signpost them onto another agency who maybe in a better position to help.

We also visit clients in their own home or meet them locally as some clients may feel uncomfortable with group sessions or are too sick to attend.
