With an ageing population and with more people living for longer, our services are becoming more and more sought after. Unfortunately in life there is only one certainty, and that is that it will eventually end. Over the years our services have evolved to meet the needs of more and more elderly people and that includes people living with life limiting illnesses or approaching the end of life.

At Home Instead Senior care Barnsley we understand that many people who are living with a life-limiting illness or are simply nearing the end of life wish to remain at home with their family and in familiar surroundings. Our specialist Palliative Care at Home service provides practical and emotional support to those nearing the end of their life and to their families. Our CAREGivers will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (Doctors, District Nurses etc) to provide intensive co-ordinated home support for patients with complex needs who wish to stay at home. A loss of a loved one can often leave a void in someone’s life, which can sometimes leave them feeling socially isolated or vulnerable.

Our care can continue after a loved one has passed away, so that we can support families and loved ones until they feel able to stand alone.
